The Concept of Humanistic Education from the Al-Qur'an Perspective and Its Relevance to Character Education in the Era of Industrial Revolution 5.0

This research aims to find out (1) what the value of humanist education is from the perspective of the Al-Qur'an (2) whether humanist education is still relevant to the current education system by emphasizing aspects of character education in the era of the industrial revolution 5.0.
This research uses qualitative research with library research methods. The data obtained in this thesis is obtained from the Al-Qur'an and contemporary interpretations as well as from several sources related to humanism issues, whether in the form of scientific journals, scientific articles, digital media related to humanism. The analysis technique uses a content analysis approach.
The author's findings show: (1) the concept of humanistic education in the Al-Qur'an, namely: optimizing the development of noble morals, optimizing the development of social character, optimizing building civilization in the digital era. Several humanist values contained in the Al-Qur'an must be implemented to realize humanistic education, namely: Justice (Al-'Adalah), Freedom (Al-Hurriyah), Equality (Al-Musawah), Deliberation (Syura), Tolerance (Tasamuh). (2) Humanistic education has relevance to character education because education views humans as a unified whole in respecting human dignity as perfect creatures to be applied in the current era experiencing an ethical crisis. In the era of the industrial revolution 5.0, which is marked by the development of digital technology and rapid social change, character education has a key role in forming individuals who have noble character and are able to face the challenges of the times. Character education is not only responsive to technological developments, but also an essential instrument in forming technologically intelligent individuals with noble character according to the needs of modern society
