TRANSFORMATIVE PUBLIC SPEAKING: DA'WAH AS A MEDIUM FOR EMPOWERING THE COMMUNITY

Public speaking merupakan keterampilan komunikasi yang strategis dalam mendukung efektivitas dakwah. Dalam perspektif kontemporer, dakwah tidak lagi hanya dipahami sebagai penyampaian pesan normatif, melainkan juga sebagai sarana pemberdayaan (empowerment) umat. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis relevansi public speaking transformatif sebagai media dakwah yang tidak sebatas informatif, tetapi juga partisipatif dan menggerakkan perubahan sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa public speaking transformatif mampu mengintegrasikan aspek ethos, pathos, dan logos dalam komunikasi dakwah sehingga da’i dapat membangun kredibilitas, mengikat emosi audiens, dan menyampaikan argumen logis yang mendorong kesadaran kritis. Dakwah berbasis public speaking transformatif berimplikasi pada peningkatan kapasitas spiritual, intelektual, dan sosial umat. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa dakwah di era digital perlu diorientasikan pada penguatan kapasitas umat melalui keterampilan berbicara publik yang transformatif.
