The role of Islamic education in shaping the character and morals of generation Z amidst the challenges of rapid globalization and digitalization. Generation Z, exposed to diverse cultural values and ideologies, faces the risk of erosion of moral values due to the influence of technology and social media. This article discusses the importance of Islamic education as a foundation for instilling the value of tolerance, which is needed to face complex social dynamics. In this context, the proposed strategies include the integration of technology in the learning process, a more interactive approach, and collaboration between families, schools, and communities. This study uses qualitative methods to identify the challenges facing Islamic education and seek relevant solutions. It was found that Islamic education must adapt to changing times through innovation in curriculum and teaching methods, so that it can be more effective in instilling moral values in generation Z. Thus, Islamic education is expected to produce individuals who are not only knowledgeable, but also have strong and tolerant characters in facing the challenges of the 4.0 era.
