Abstract

Smartphones are devices that can communicate visually; additionally, smartphone use can also serve as a learning medium. The proper use of smartphones can also improve children's learning achievement. Learning achievement is the mastery of knowledge or skills developed through subjects, usually indicated by the value of a test or the number of values given by the teacher. To determine the impact of smartphones on children's academic achievement, the author distributed questionnaires to the sample. The children sampled were elementary school students, for example, 25 grade 5 elementary school children. From the results of the calculations performed, the conclusions obtained are that there is an effect of the benefits of use (X1) and the ease of the user (X2) simultaneously on achievement (Y). In accordance with the results of the questionnaire, which states the effect of X1 and X2 simultaneously on Y is 0,000 <0,05, and the calculated F value is 11,320> F table 3,4,2, so that H3 is accepted, the magnitude of the effect of variable benefits and ease of smartphone use on children's learning achievement is 0, 7%.
